What are the best type of extensions for me?

​

As with many of the hair-specific questions, the best type of extensions for an individual is very dependent upon personal preference, lifestyle, maintenance routine, etc.

Yes.  We offer professional pricing to licensed hairstylists. Click HERE to complete the required information, including a picture of your cosmetoloy/business license.  Once we’ve received your credentials, we will send you the code you can use at checkout!

Who is your shipping carrier?

What is your processing time?

​

In order to guarantee that your product(s) will be shipped same day you will need to place your order BEFORE 12:00 pm MST, Monday-Friday. Please plan accordingly so you can receive your package by the date you desire. We do not ship on weekends or holidays! Orders placed on Friday after 12:00 pm MST will be processed and shipped the following Monday (excluding holidays.)

What do I do if I ordered with an incorrect address?

​

Bombshell Extension Co. is not responsible for lost or stolen packages or for packages delayed in transit.  We are also not responsible for customer errors in shipping addresses made during the checkout process (incorrect/incomplete addresses.) Please double check your shipping address prior to placing your order & if you notice there is an error please contact us as soon as possible at hello@bombshellextensions.com.

How do I color match?

​

Here are a few options that will help you to get your perfect color:

1: Purchase our Color Ring (This is a great option for stylists who work with Bombshell Extensions and will be matching colors consistently.)
2: Find a Bombshell Certified Stylist near you to have them help color match you.
3: Email us (2) photos of your hair in natural lighting (by a window or outside) and we will reply back with our color match suggestion!

Tape-Ins: (10 sandwiches/pack--2 pieces=1 sandwich)

    14 inch:               20 pieces/pack, 1.5" width, 2 grams/piece=40 grams/pack

    16, 18, 22 inch:   20 pieces/pack, 1.5" width, 2.5 grams/piece=50 grams/pack
    24 inch:               20 pieces/pack, 1.5" width, 3 grams/piece=60 grams/pack

When extensions get wet, do they have a natural curl or straight?

​

After a few times of washing, the extensions will take on a nice natural texture and possibly a very slight natural wave. 

If you have naturally curly hair, they generally will not match that curl untouched, as they lay fairly straight without the touch of heat tools.

How often do you recommend washing extensions?

​

For all Bombshell Extension styles, except Clip-ins, we recommend every 3 days or less.  For the longevity of your extension hair, we recommend using dry shampoo in between washes.
For Clip-Ins: every 2 weeks if you wear them daily  |   3 weeks-once a month if you wear only for special events.
Also take into account your specific hair type, activity level, and oil production rate.

How long do the extensions last before needing to replace them?

​

This is one of our trickiest questions to give a universal answer to; it truly depends on how you care for the extensions and your personal lifestyle.

The easy answer is anywhere from 3-12 months.

If you are consistently styling your hair and using low-grade products, the max life of your extensions is around 3-4 months.

If you take gentle care of your extension hair, limit your use of hot tools, and always use professional grade products, they can last up to 12 months.

How often do tape-ins need to be moved up?

Generally, every 6-8 weeks; depending on the rate of your regrowth.

How do you store your Clip-In extensions?

We suggest hanging them up after each use to maintain any styling you have already done on them that day.

What are Habit Hand Tied Wefts?

​

Habit hand tied wefts is a special line created by Bombshell Extension Co. and Chrissy Rasmussen (@hairby_chrissy) of Habit Salon.    

Can you sleep with extensions in?

​

Yes.  We recommend putting your hair in a loose, low ponytail or braid to keep from tangling during the night and maintain hair quality.
Also, sleeping on a silk pillowcase allows the best health of your hair.

What is Blohaute?

​

Amanda Diedrich (@blohaute) the queen of DIY hair tutorials and braids is a hairstylist in Chicago who specializes in extensions & bridal hair!  With people always asking what color of Bombshell Extensions she was wearing in her hair tutorials we decided to collaborate and make the rooted tape-ins.  With her love for lived in hair we create Blohaute X Bombshell rooted Tape-Ins and Clip-Ins.

What is the longest length of extensions you sell?

Currently, our longest length is 22 inch. But, our 24 inch length will become available end of March 2018!

What is the difference between a regular machine weft and a hand tied weft?

 

Machine Weft: This is one contiguous weft of hair that can be cut into smaller pieces. This weft is slightly larger than the hand-tied weft.  If you decide to cut the wefts to fit your needs, add some hair glue on the edges to prevent any shedding that could occur.

Hand Tied Weft: This weft is a collection of peices that have been pre-cut and sewn by hand to make the smallest weft-size possible.  Pieces SHOULD NOT be cut on your own as they will unravel and become unusable.

Can the extensions be lightened?

No.  We strongly suggest that you do not lighten your extensions as they have already been processed and will highly likely be ruined with further lightening. 

If you have received your order and find that you need lighter hair, DO NOT lighten them with a colorist, refer to our Refunds/Exchange to get your color replaced.

Can the extensions be colored or toned?

Yes.  Use one of our Preferred Stylists if you would like to further customize your Bombshell Extensions color.  

How can I get featured on your Instagram?

We love seeing how our customers and stylists are using our product!

Also, we like to keep our brand clean and show the hair in its truest color: Images taken in natural light with little to no filters nor text are likely to catch our eye ; )

Do you offer Halo extensions?

We do not currently do not offer anything similar to the Halo.  Our closest match to that type of fit would b our Habit Hand-Tied Wefts that are installed in a long continuous line across the crown of your head, similiar to the lay of a halo.

What if I receive my hair and the color doesn’t match?

We want you to have the best possible match for your hair color.  If you need to make a change, be sure to not remove the hair product from it's sealed pacakging, as that will deem it non-refundable due to hygenic guidelines.

To return your product for a different color, use the return/exchange slip included in your package to get your shipment back to us. 

Return shipping is customer responsibility.  Once we receive your return shipment, we will either replace it with your new color or submit your refund amount.

We are based in Phoenix, Arizona and shipments are made out of our warehouse in Southern Utah.

Will hair extensions damage my hair?

​

Hair extensions should never cause permanent or major damage to your natural hair if installed by a qualified stylist and someone who has the ability to educate the client on the proper after-care.

How far in length does the ombre section go?

​

When are _____ going to be restocked?

We constantly have hair in production to ensure there isn't too long of wait in between restocks.

Can I wash my hair immediately after extensions are installed?

You must WAIT 48 hours before washing your hair after tape-ins & keratin fusions are installed, to allow the bond to form properly.
